Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 and Bold 9780 are two of the popular Blackberry smart phones in the market. Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 was added to the Blackberry Curve family on August 2010. It was originally released with Blackberry OS 5 but upgradeable to OS 6. Curve 3G 9300 was designed to offer the first time smart phone buyers a good choice at an affordable price. All the classic blackberry features are included in the phone and it has a dedicated media key for one touch access for entertainment. BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 supports 3G HSPA networks around the world. Blackberry Bold 9780 was later release, it was made available globally from November 2010. Bold 9780 is RIM’s premium design phone and it is the first Blackberry Bold series to come with Blackberry OS 6. It is packed with advanced communication and multimedia features. When comparing the hardware of both Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 and Bold 9780, Bold 9780 has superior features than Curve 3G 9300. It has got a display with better resolution (480 x 360), high resolution camera (5 MP) with flash, double the RAM size of that in Curve 3G, additional 2 GB media card and a better battery life. Both Curve 3G 9300 and Bold 9780 are QWERTY bars and of the same dimension, but Curve 3G 9300 is around 0.6 oz lighter than Bold 9780. Both Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 and Bold 9780 now run Blackberry OS 6 and support 3G HSPA network worldwide.

BB Curve 9300 sports renowned Blackberry features like the physical keyboard with optical track-pad, easy messaging, push mail, instant messaging with Blackberry Messenger (BBM) and full multitasking. One good feature of BlackBerry Curve 9300 is the external media keys, which is on top of the device enabling easy access to media functions and you can control media player from outside. The other features include support for 3G HSPA network, built in GPS supported by Blackberry Maps, 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and tethering. Blackberry 9300 has an internal memory of 256 MB and 256 MB RAM and powered by Marvell Tavor PXA930 chipset with 624 MHz clock speed.

Blackberry Bold 9780

Bold 9780 is a stylish QWERTY bar with 2.4″ TFT LCD screen. Not much deviation from BlackBerry’s classic design. But the screen has a higher PPI compared to other Blackberry devices, which gives crisper display of text and graphics. It ‘s also feels more sleek in hand. Torch 9780 is powered by Marvell Tavor PXA930 chipset with 624 MHz clock speed. The other features include 512MB RAM, 2GB in board memory, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 5.0MP camera with video recording capability. The new Blackberry OS 6 on Bold 9780 has enhanced the phone features a lot.

The new BB OS 6 offers new web experience with push browser, tabbed browsing, google search, yahoo search and bookmark, universal search, updates from social network, RSS feed and many more.

Blackberry OS 6 supports many number of email accounts and messaging applications like BlackBerry Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger, AOL Instant Messenger, ICQ, IBM Lotus Sametime, Microsoft Office Communicator and Live Communications Server 2005, and Novell GroupWise Messenger.
