Individual Training vs Team Training
Individual Training and Team Training are two difference approaches of training. Both have different purposes and have their own merits and demerits. Most of the organizations adopt a hybrid model which is a blend of individual and team approach.
Individual training is aimed at developing specific skills of an individual and most of the time this type of training need is identified during the employee performance evaluation process. Individual training is suitable for developing softskills or specialized skills.
Team training is aimed at preparing a team for a new projects or to provide a company-wide or department-wide awareness or to provide basic knowledge on certain subjects. The need is identified at corporate level or at department level during the business planning process. It is suitable for providing knowledge based training like training on new processes and procedures.
When you want to develop team building/working skill it is better to adopt a blend of both approach. While team training will help in developing relationship among team members and to synergize.
