The love starts when the couple meets and continues to grow even after marriage. They are both considered equal to one another in marriage.
For arranged marriages, the partners are chosen by the parents and families of the bride and the groom. The families look into the background of each comparing status, health, and sometimes habits. The two usually do not get to meet until they get married. They start their relationship during marriage, rather than before. Usually the man has more of a powerful role in the relationship.
