Pub vs Club

Pub and Club are two different terms altogether. However, many of us are thinking that these terms are related. Pub is some place when you want to unwind. In here, you can drink and listen to music with the added option of being alone or not. Club, on the other hand, is a place where you mingle with everybody. You either join a club formally or informally. Knowing the difference between pub and club will give you the knowledge to properly use either terms in conversations or certain recommendations.

Pubs

Pub or commonly known as bar is a place where they legally sell alcoholic drinks like wine, cocktails, beer and other liquor for people within premises. Underage citizens can’t go to these places. The pubs provide their patrons with not so comfortable seats near the tables or around the premise. Many bars have various entertainments as well. Some have strippers, live band and some stand-up comedians. Restrictions include the location to where these establishments should be and to the alcohol kinds they can serve. Muslim countries either prohibit pubs or advising these establishment’s controllers to not let a Muslim citizen pass in. There are different types of pubs like gay bars, blues, cocktail lounge, wine bar and, the most informal of all pub, dive bar.

Club

Ironically people intend to think that clubs are somewhat similar to pubs; club’s definition isn’t close to pubs’. Clubs are actually a place where you meet different kinds of people who are into the interests and goals that are same as yours. Clubs vary from the interest each member shares with each other. Below are some of the various types of clubs:

• School Clubs – these clubs usually fall under the realm of the curriculum.

• Professional Societies – these are clubs that give professional to opportunity to expound more their knowledge through educational meetings.

• Hobby Clubs – when you’re into these kinds of clubs, you’re rewarding yourself with your involvement to the field you’re interested with.

• Buying Clubs – these are one of those clubs that needs formal membership. These are where you can buy limited edition stocks with discounts and freebies, too.

• Social Clubs – these clubs are for people who love competition. Members are openly competing with each other in terms of sports, board and mind games. There are some social clubs that have the theme of “serving humanity” such as Rotary club, Lion’s club.

Difference between Pub and Club

Being able to recognize the difference between pubs and clubs could be very refreshing since most of us are fond of commemorating these terms with each other. Pub is for drinking and having fun; Club is for having fun, too but the drinks are never necessary. Club needs a certain membership or certification of involvement; pub needs cash for the liquor and the age of over 21 to be able to get in. Clubs varies from types; pubs as well but they’re almost similar because they all are loud and alcohols are always around.
