T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G and Samsung Galaxy S are all smartphones from the Galaxy S family with different brand name and with slight changes in features. In the US market it goes with T-Mobile as T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G, as the name suggests it supports 4G network. It comes with built in ST-Ericsson M5720 HSPA+ 4G modem. T-Mobile claims that the download speed will go up to 21 Mbps. The previous Galaxy S model for T-Mobile was known as Galaxy S Vibrant or plainly Samsung Vibrant. Outside US market it goes as Samsung Galaxy S and basically serves on 3G networks. The general features of both T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4G and Samsung Galaxy S are same.

1. The basic difference is the network support T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S will serve on T-Mobile’s 4G network in US with theoretical download speeds of up to 21 Mbps, whereas Galaxy S is mainly running on 3G, 2G networks globally.
2. Samsung Galaxy S 4G and Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant runs Android 2.2, while some Galaxy S models in the global market comes with Android 2.1, however it’s upgradeable to 2.2.
3. Samsung has improved on the battery capacity for T-Mobile Galaxy S 4G, it comes with 1650mAh Li-ion battery while the capacity of the other Galaxy S models are 1500 mAh.
