Adobe After Effects vs Adobe Premiere
After Effects and Premiere are both Adobe applications and are part of Adobe Creative Suite (CS). They may seem similar in functions but, in reality, they are not. Yes, the names can stand but once you know their full functions, you will know how different they really are.
Adobe After Effects
‘After Effects’ is an Adobe application that is used to create motion graphics and visual effects to a video. One of its cool uses is when you have your main video and want to attach another video inside it and it will play like a small screen on the side. After Effects’ function is known to be similar to what Photoshop does to pictures; it creates the magic that makes a video more compelling.
Adobe Premiere
Premiere is an Adobe application that is used to edit videos. When editing films, its main functions are mostly in cut and splice to make a video more coherent and less cluttered. When you have different footages in a film, Premiere is the primary application to use to lay it all out and edit the ones not needed to make everything more holistic.
Difference between Adobe After Effects and Premiere
After Effects adds different cool stuff to the already edited version of a video; Premiere is mainly used to edit the film with its’ cutting and splicing features. After Effects can be likened to what Photoshop does to pictures as it make an image more riveting; Premiere is very standard when it comes to its’ main functions. After Effects gives the video more spice as it can add cooler stuff like animation and the like; Premiere makes the video more coherent and as it allows transition from one part to another for the video to play smoothly.
They both are Adobe applications but very different in their functions to the person using the video or film. Let it be known that they vary in how they are treated to make a film more compelling to watch.
In brief: • After Effects adds cooler stuff to make a video more compelling; Premiere has very basic functions. • After Effects can add animation to the already edited video; Premiere makes all transitions very smooth. |
