Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) vs Android 2.3.2 (OTA or GRH78C) | Android 2.3 and 2.3.2 Performance , speed  and Features

Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and Android 2.3.2 (OTA or GRH78C) are both open source mobile operating systems. Android 2.3 was introduced in Dec 2010 and update for 2.3 is released in Jan 2011.There was a update release for Gingerbread in late December as well which is Android 2.3.1 OTA. Basically 2.3.1 OTA came up with Google maps 5.0.

Now Google has released another update for 2.3.1 OTA (Over The Air), which is available at the moment for Google Nexus S users and marketed as Android 2.3.2 build GRH78C. The major fix on this could be SMS bug but official logs have not been released regarding this.

Difference Between Android 2.3, 2.3.1 and 2.3.2

(1) Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) came up with many additional features to that of Android 2.2 (Froyo). (Difference between Android 2.2 and 2.3)

(2) The main difference between Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Android 2.3.1 is the Google map versions. Android 2.3.1 comes up with Google Map 5.0

(3) Android 2.3.1 is 1.9 MB and Android 2.3.2 is 600 KB

(4) Android 2.3.2 could fix the SMS bug which exists in earlier versions. (Still not officially confirmed)
