Bangalore is the capital city of the state of Karnataka in India. It is nick-named as the Garden City. More importantly Bangalore is considered one of the Global Cities and it is ranked as Beta World City. It is interesting to note that Bangalore is rated alongside Geneva, Cairo, Boston, Berlin and Riyadh.

Hyderabad on the other hand is the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is otherwise called as the City of Pearls. It is considered the sixth most populous city in India. As a matter of fact Hyderabad has developed into a major hub for the information technology industry in India. This is the reason why it is sometimes called by the name Cyberabad. The economy of Hyderabad is triggered primarily by the Information Technology industry. It is known by the name of Silicon Valley of India. Bangalore is the largest exporter of IT in India. The economy of Bangalore is influenced by several employers including Bharat Electronics Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Indian Space Research Organization and Hindustan Machine Tools to mention a few.

Hyderabad is known for its flourishing IT companies. The economy of Hyderabad is influenced by employers such as Matrix Laboratories, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma Limted, Lee Pharma, Novartis and Vimta Labs. Thus Hyderabad witnesses economic growth through its pharmaceutical companies.

The IT industry in Bangalore is divided into three main groups, namely, Software Technology Parks of India, International Tech Park and Electronics City. Infosys and Wipro, two of India’s primary software companies have headquarters in Bangalore.

Microsoft R&D Campus in Gachibowli is the seat of IT. TCS has several branches across India and TCS Deccan Park is one of the active branches of TCS in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is home to several Fortune 500 corporations, Microsoft and Oracle Corporation. Several of the Fortune 500 corporations are related to IT and BPO services industry.

Hyderabad is served well by Railway line and roadways. Residents and visitors are served well by the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The airport has the longest runway in India.
