Beer vs Wine
Beer and wine is both alcoholic beverage that is being enjoyed by people. Though we all have our own preference as to which is more pleasant to drink, be it based on taste or alcohol content, it is still worth knowing what sets them apart.
Beer
Beer is made from fermented malt, but the process that it has to go through takes more than its simple definition. It has been said that beer making is almost scientific in its process and that each procedure is done with exact precision to perfect its taste. It is believed that beer already existed thousands of years ago; even way back when human population was still made up of nomadic tribes.
Wine
Wine is primarily made from fermented fruit juices, particularly that of grapes. The process of making wine has practically not been changed since it was first created, centuries ago. It is believed that anyone can practically make wine, since the yeasts that is used for fermentation is naturally present in fruits. Right after crushing the grapes, they will be left to ferment on its own making it simpler in terms of production.
Difference between Beer and Wine
The difference comes from the process and the fermentation of these drinks. With wine, the fermentation is second nature to the fruits while for beer the whole fermentation process is more complicated than that. But apart from the discussion of its whole process, it is also notable that their differences also lies on the occasions that they are being consumed. For casual drinking, the preference would be beer while wine is mostly used on formal and intimate events. Health wise as well, they differ significantly, though it is accepted that wine contains more health benefits as compared to beer, recent studies shows that beer, when taken in moderation, also have health benefits.
Health benefits or not, the main focus of any alcoholic beverage is to celebrate the exact moment that they are being consumed. Be it a casual gathering or a special one, the important things is that everything is done in moderation and of course, having a great time.
