Black Iridium vs Warm Grey Lenses

Black Iridium Lens and Warm Grey Lens are only two of the many options that a buyer has while choosing from the wide range of Oakley glasses. Oakley is one brand that has become extremely popular among sportsmen and others who have an active lifestyle all over the world. Black iridium and warm grey lenses are the preferred choices of the people because of their advanced features and benefits in all lighting conditions.

There are multiple lens options with Iridium lens coatings that balance light transmissions and reduce glare. Oakley polarization reduces 99% of eye straining glare without any haze and distortion that is found in other ordinary polarized sunglasses. Warm grey lenses are optimized for medium bright sun.

Black Iridium Lenses

Black iridium lens has an index of 3 and allow only 10% of light to pass through to your eyes. Their base is grey and has a black iridium coating. Their purpose is neutral and is specialized for extremely bright light conditions. They are very soothing during full sun, but are not advisable to wear while driving. For outdoor photography sessions, these black iridium lenses are ideal. You should not wear them when it is cloudy or foggy. The only disadvantage is that it is not color enhancing. Otherwise it is just perfect for fun on the beaches. Works fine even on snow slopes and ice. In extreme sunny conditions when it becomes irritating due to glare, black iridium cuts 99% of the glare to make you comfortable.

Warm grey Lenses

Warm grey lenses also have a light index of 3 while allowing 10% of light. They are also ideal for bright light conditions but do not have any special coating. Though you feel good even on extreme sunny days, black iridium feels much superior to warm grey. These lenses are ideal for boating at dawn or dusk. The reason they work even in bright light is because they have maximum blockage. To some, warm grey give a soothing view of the outside world which is far better than black iridium lenses.
