Dog and Puppy are both treated by humans as pets. Usually, they are sold in many pet stores and sometimes they are given by our friends and relatives to us to provide a better care. They are highly trainable depending on the kind of breed.

Dogs

Dogs were, are, and forever will be man’s best friend. The connection between a man and a dog didn’t appear only in recent years, in fact, the history in their relationship can be traced back as far as 79 AD when an evidence of a dog lying on top of a child was found. Moreover, dogs are loyal companions that they would risk their lives protecting their master.

Puppies

Puppies are dogs that have not yet attained adult form. They are born with amnion (the sticky thing which looks like a plastic) that protects them after birth, then the puppy’s mother will lick its entire body to get rid of the amnion. As puppy reaches one month old, they are now ready and able to eat solid foods but until then, milk would suffice their daily needs.

Difference between Dog and Puppy

Dog and puppy differs on the kind of food that they are capable of eating. While dogs need food in order to maintain their good health, puppies need foods that are full of nutrients in order for them become a full-grown dog. Puppies can have a total number of 28 teeth which are small and very sharp compared to that of an adult with a total of 42 teeth. Puppies are more suitable as a pet for kids and teens while the adults are for more matured men.

Just like babies, puppies tend to bite and chew anything that they find into their mouth. So exert more patience when your house gets a little messy a bit. Take extra careful when playing with puppies since they can’t control their biting force yet compared to adult dog that even when you place your hands inside its mouth, it would surely won’t bite you given the fact that you know the dog and the dog knows you.
