Electric Airsoft Gun vs Spring Airsoft Gun

Electric airsoft gun and spring airsoft gun are variations of real firearms’ replica. These two usually use plastic bullets. These guns are designed as non-deadly, and to look as much as possible to the real one. Most people purchase these airsoft guns for recreation only.

Electric Airsoft Gun

Electric airsoft gun is the variation which makes use of a gearbox powered electrically; as implied by its name, this type launch its bullets with the help of batteries or electricity. This usually uses a rechargeable battery. This is one of the high end variations of airsoft guns; usually they are automatic and launches more than one bullet in a single fire.

Spring Airsoft Gun

Spring airsoft guns, on the other hand, launches a single bullet in a single fire. As its name implies, this makes use of a spring in compressing the air which is then used to launch its bullets. This type belongs to the lower end airsoft guns, which is probably good for starters or first timers but it is not advisable to be used during shooting competitions.

Difference between Electric Airsoft Gun and Spring Airsoft Gun

However, it might be beneficial for one to know their differences in order to determine which one suits them. For starters, a more basic airsoft gun is more ideal, while for competitions, electric BB is a common choice because electric is automatic and dispenses multiple bullets in one shot whereas spring ones launches one only. As for price; since the spring BB is the basic one, it is usually cheaper than the electric BB.

Well, it always boils down to ones choice, but what we have presented could help a lot. Spring is the basic and electric is usually automatic. One thing we always need to remember, airsoft guns are made for recreation and not to harm anyone.
