Grinder vs Blender

Grinder and Blinder are two household appliances that are meant for mixing substances but with difference. They indeed perform different actions. They are often considered to perform the same actions. Many feel that grinder is used for the purpose of grinding something into powder. On the other hand blender as the name indicates is used to blend two substances together.

In short it can be said that blender is used in the mixing of two substances together. A grinder is used in the act of grinding or powdering substances. Of course it is true that both grinder and blender exhibit the action of mixing. They mix with purpose.

The mixing done by a grinder is by powdering two substances whereas the mixing done by a blender is just by combining the substances and not by grinding or powdering them. This is one of the main differences between a grinder and a blender.

Some people feel that grinder is the one that can be used both for dry and wet substances. On the other hand blender can be used only for mixing or blending two dry substances. Two different types of coffee seeds can be blended after they are powdered by a grinder. In the same way a substance can be rendered wet in a wet grinder by the addition of sufficient amount of water.

Some people feel that a blender can also involve the grinding of dry substances and the mixing or blending of them in the process. Many others feel there is not much of a difference between a grinder and a blender. Thus a blender is an appliance that is used to mix the items of the same category such as rice, tea or coffee. On the other hand a grinder is an appliance that is used in the grinding of two different items of two different categories as well.
