iOS 11, the next generation version of iOS has new app features and major design changes.

The App Store of iOS 11 has undergone major changes. The iOS app will take you to a Today tab, which will help you with app discovery. You will be able to see a daily list, new collections, and tutorials which will guide you through what you can achieve through a particular app. There are dedicated tabs for apps, places, games, and places and you can discover popular and new offerings.

The Dock which comes with the iOS 11 will let you access your frequently used apps from any screen. The App switcher design will help you open new apps and switch between apps with ease. Drag and Drop will work on iPhone and iPad. This allows you to move anything between the two apps. You can even drop an image into your email.

For iPad, iOS has launched a new feature called Files. All your files are kept in a place for easy access. You will be able to drag and drop attachments from email and apps into a particular folder. You can also create folders to organize your files and find them faster. It will make multitasking easy and-and bring your iPad closer to an alternative to your laptop.

iOS 11 also comes with a new feature called Do Not Disturb. It will help in avoiding distractions while you are driving. You will not lose the online feature used for navigation. After you activate this feature, people who try to get in touch with you will receive a message saying you will see a message after you reach your destination.

The iOS 11 messages have seen an update with the inclusion of the app drawer and many other new features. It contains stickers, and peer to peer Apple pay which lets you pay via iMessages. Apple pays new feature will use the TouchID fingerprint sensor to receive money and put it into Apple Pay Cash card. You can use this transferred money for Apple payments to transfer the money into the bank account.

There is also a new iCloud messages which will automatically sync all your conversations across MacOS and iOS devices. Apple has also added a new QuickType keyboard which helps to handle the iPhone one-handedly. It has moved keys closer to the thumb to be able to handle the device by one hand.

 Android 8.0 Oreo – New Features and Improvements

Android 8.0 Oreo comes with a handful of useful changes to the new Google operating system.  Android 8.0 Oreo comes with a picture in picture feature, which is currently available in Google’s YouTube app and iOS. This will allow the user to minimize the video and perform other tasks while being able to watch the video.

The picture in picture feature works much in the same way as it does with iOS. Android users will be able to tap the screen and minimize the video into a small window while using other apps. You will be able to slide the video into a convenient position or swipe it off the screen to conclude the video.

Similar to the app badges found on the iOS, you will see small dots that will appear on top of the app icon when notifications arrive on Android 8.0 Oreo. This feature is different to iOS as you can long press to perform a short list of actions. You can also tap on the particular app and interact with the notifications. You can view the notifications through a small pop-up without opening the app.

With the use of google intelligence, Google has introduced smart text selection which can analyze selected text and provide contextual shortcuts. Android 8.0 Oreo was released to address a number of small issues that existed within the operating system. One of those additions is the Autofill feature. It will help the lives of Android user bit easier.

Android 8.0 Oreo also helps with quick logins with your apps. Usernames and passwords will be remembered by the operating system to log into apps quickly on your device. If your chrome account has passwords saved in them, the corresponding apps can sync the data and autofill the forms. The only problem is that all apps will support it.

Vitals is another feature that will help in improving the security and performance of your Android device. It comes with Google Play protect which will scan Android apps for malicious content. It also comes with a feature called Wise limits that stops apps from running in the background that will, in turn, help your battery to last longer.

Google has claimed that the boot time has been reduced to half and apps are now capable of running faster. The Android 8.0 Oreo version has become a cleaner version of Android. The Notification Shade and the Setting apps have become cleaner to use.  Although it is not a major change, the smaller changes are often the most appreciated, and this is one of them.

Background Restrictions
No background restrictions. The number of apps that can run on the background is restricted. This affects battery lifetime and performance.
Native Screen Recording
You can record your iPhone screen in a seamless manner. Such apps are available but it has not been built into the OS.
Autofill
The new Autofill API feature will get you your passwords and you will not need to remember them. Android OS will get native support from password managers.
  AR and VR
Apple newly introduced this feature. This has been available in the past too.
