Difference Between iPhone X and iPhone 8

The biggest difference between the two phones is in its industrial design. The last release saw a dampness in the design making us feel these was no difference between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 7.

Things are different this year with regards to the iPhone X. The iPhone X stands out from the rest of the iPhones released yet. Like the LG V30 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 the iPhone X has stretched its bezels to the edge and the once large bezel has shrunk. It is a futuristic iPhone that is striking and eye-catching compared with the typical iPhone.

The iPhone X comes with a myriad of sensors and comes with a front facing camera. This may cause a a part of the screen to be blocked out. Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X come with glass backs. It may look nice but may cause problems with the durability on the long run.

Both the iPhones are water resistant and come with the same IP68 rating. The iPhone X does not have the iconic home button, which sat near the display. This means that only touch ID will come with iPhone X.

The iPhone X also comes with a new feature called Face ID. This face recognition technology is similar to that found on the Samsung Note 8. The iPhone is able to implement wireless charging with the return of the glass back.

Both the phones saw improved hardware when it came to GPU and CPU. Both the iPhones are powered by a A11 bionic chip. The new chip is expected to present more efficiency and smoother performance for a better battery life. The new Apple A11 chip encompasses two powerful cores which is said to provide 25 % faster performance than the A10 chip. Its cores are also said to provide better efficiency.

Both the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X may come with similar internals but they are very different when it comes to the display. The iPhone X has ditched the IPS LCD display for the OLED which is the same screen used by LG and Samsung.

Compared with the LCD, the OLED display provides better blacks and more vivid colors. All of the best phone uses this display and the iPhone X is no exception. The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus come with the same IPS LCD display. The iPhone X supports HDR 10 and Dolby vision as well. It offers a higher resolution at 2436 X 1128.

The iPhone X also comes with exclusive tweaks like the virtual home button. The iPhone X has cameras that are similar to that found on iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 comes with a 12MP sensor on the rear.
