Design
When we compare both the phones, the Galaxy S8 may seem to be the better phone out of the two. The iPhone 8 almost looks identical to the iPhone 7 with replacement to the back with a glass instead of the metal. If you are looking for a more futuristic phone, the iPhone X is the phone for you.

Processor and Memory
Both the phones are very powerful. Samsung Galaxy S8 comes packed with a Snapdragon 835 processor accompanied by a memory of 4GB of RAM. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus is powered by a Bionic A11 chip that is built using the 10-nm manufacturing process, which is used in the Exynos 8895 and Snapdragon 835 as well.
The memory on the iPhone 8 Plus was not revealed at the unveiling but it can be expected to be 2 or 3 GB.
Display
Comparing the displays, both the phones go in opposite directions. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a 5.7-inch AMOLED display that extends right to the edge like the newly released iPhone X. The Quad HD resolution display help in supporting HDR content found in Netflix, Prime video, and YouTube.
The iPhone 8 Plus display sticks with the IPS LCD panel. The panel supports 1080p and a resolution just above 720p.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a rear camera with 12 mega pixels and an aperture of f/1.7. The camera on the S8 is easy to use, accurate and capable of taking natural looking photos. The iPhone 8 Plus is equipped with a 12-mega pixel dual camera that comes with an aperture of f/1.8 and f/2.8.
Apple says its iPhone 8 camera comes with a better auto focus, bigger sensor and built in noise reduction. The iPhone 8 Plus also come with a new feature called Portrait Lighting mode that adjusts the lighting on a portrait image.
