IQ stands for intelligence quotient, and it is a specific term. On the other hand, intelligence is a broad term. It can be defined as the ability to gain and apply knowledge and skills. What is IQ?

You would use a formula to calculate the IQ whereas no such formula is needed to test one’s intelligence. The formula that has to be used to calculate IQ is IQ = MA/CAx100. IQ indicates intelligence quotient; MA indicates mental age and CA stands for chronological age.
