LG Optimus Smartphones

LG Optimus is a popular brand from the house of LG Smartphones.  There are number of editions in Optimus. Here we will be seeing the Optimus models available for US, as well as outside US market. The LG Optimus U design is simple with curved edges and matt finish; weight is slightly high compared to the average weight of Smartphones.  Display is quiet attractive, The camera does not have LED flash and lacks built-in Flash video in the browser.

Optimus M5690 (CDMA Phone)

Optimus M is tied in US to the mobile carrier MetroPCS.

The LG Optimus M design and dimension are quiet similar to Optimus U but the body is silver; weight is a bit low (just 0.18 oz lower than U) but high compared to the average weight of Smartphones.  The camera does not have LED flash and lacks built-in Flash video in the browser.

Optimus S L5670 Purple (CDMA Phone)

Optimus S is tied in US to the mobile carrier Sprint.

The LG Optimus S design is same as Optimus U but the body colour is purple. This phone has an attractive profile compared to Optimus U and M, slim and light, less than the average weight of Smartphones.  This phone’s camera also like the U and M does not have LED flash and lacks built-in Flash video in the browser. The camera doesn’t have HD video capture.

The weaker side of this phone is its slow processor, it has got dual processor: 600 MHz applications processor and 400 MHz modem processor. The battery life also lower, the talk-time is only 5 hours. The call quality is also not well reviewed by users. This is a phone for Smartphone newbie.

Optimus P509 Titanium (3G Phone)

This model is tied in US to the mobile carrier T-Mobile.

With the DriveSmart Technology you can receive calls directly to a Bluetooth® device or voicemail and automatically replies to text messages with an alert that the user is driving.

The P509 Optimus T design is similar to Optimus S but the body colour is different and looks sleek and attractive with silver ring on the side. This is also like S, an entry level Smartphone with slow processor; 600 MHz applications processor and 400 MHz modem processor.  The camera also like the other models above does not have LED flash and lacks built-in Flash video in the browser. The camera doesn’t have HD video capture.

The battery life also low, the talk-time is only 5 hours.
