Difference between London and New York is something worthwhile to know as New York and London are two places which happen to be the largest financial centers in the world. When we use the word New York, it can either refer to the state of New York or the city of New York. When we consider the state of New York, it is the fourth most populous state of USA, which is a melting pot of cultures, financial centers, business establishments, leisure spots, manufacturing units, and much more. USA cannot be completed without mentioning the state of New York. New York City, on the other hand, is the most populous city in USA. New York has gained status of ‘gateway of immigrants’ and has got countless attraction for tourists. Another destination which must be visited in the world is London. London is a major settlement of Romans for a long time and is home to about 500 of the largest European companies. London and New York serve as the place of financial activities in both of the global regions.

• New York is governed by Mayor and city council while London is governed by Mayor and London Assembly.

• New York has more higher education institutions than London.
