Nintendo DSi and Sony PSP Go are very popular gaming devices. Nintendo and Sony are undoubtedly two of the most influential gaming device manufacturers in the world, and with the launch of Nintendo DSi and Sony PSP Go, the competition has become hotter. Storage Capacity
Sony has finally decided to do away with UMD and has provided enough internal storage for the gamers to keep their games intact. It is available in two models with 8 GB and 16 GB internal storage capacity, but even this is proving to be insufficient for the gamers. On the other hand, Nintendo has shown faith in the cartridge system that is a hit among the gamers as it allows for backward compatibility. Nintendo DSi however allows the users to download games from the net and also allows to increase internal storage up to 16 GB through micro SD cards.
Number of Titles
Though Sony has made available around 100 titles for PSP Go, buyers cannot play their old games on this machine as it is not UMD supported. On the other hand, apart from new titles, gamers can play all their previous cartridges on Nintendo DSi.
Touchscreen
Nintendo DSi has introduced touchscreen which has got mixed response from the gamers. While some say it is just fantastic to play games now, others say it hampers with the real gaming pleasure. PSP Go on the other hand has preferred to go with an analog stick.
Dimensions
PSP Go has dimensions of 128 x 16.5 6x 9 mm and is only 5.6 ounces in weight. On the other hand, stands at 137 x 74.9 x 18.9 mm weighing 214 g making it slightly bigger than PSP Go. Portability is a big factor in these gaming devices.
Designing
When we compare the design factor, we find that the two units are completely different. Sony has made PSP Go as a slider while DSi looks like a clamshell. There are two screens in DSi while there is upper screen and lower controls in PSP Go.
Multimedia
Nintendo DSi is a dual camera device which allows users to take pictures and then send it to friends using its Wi-Fi features. On the other hand, there is no camera on PSP Go. DSi even has Bluetooth which allows for the use of wireless headsets.
