Though it retains its primary job of being an eBook reader, it offers much more than its worth ($249), coming close to other tablets in the market.
Nook color has a faster 800 MHz processor (TI OMAP 3621) and has a solid 512 MB of RAM. It measures 8.1 x 5 x 0.48 inch and weighs 15.8 oz. As far as reading text is concerned, text jumps off its 7 inch LCD screen in a high contrast that is far superior to the earlier gray monochrome eBook reader that was Nook.
