Difference Between Original Apple MacBook Battery and Replacement Batteries

Original Apple MacBook Battery vs Replacement Batteries

Apple laptops such as MacBook and MacBook Pro are very popular ones used by millions of people across the world. Though these laptops have very good quality batteries that last for a long time, some users have had poor experience with these lithium ion batteries as they found their batteries getting exhausted quickly and not giving sufficient backup. There are many reasons for Apple batteries not performing up to the mark with usage and overload being important factors. Proper maintenance does improve the life of Apple batteries. However, if you find that the original battery of your MacBook Pro has gone flat and does not give you backup, you have to look for alternatives in the form of replacement batteries.

Before going for a replacement, ensure that you have charged your battery for 300 cycles as Apple replace the battery themselves if their battery is giving any trouble. Apple claims that with proper care, it is possible to get up to 80% of the capacity of the battery even after 300 cycles of charging. If you have charged your battery for more than 300 cycles, you obviously need to purchase a new one from Apple. You get a one year warranty which means you are safe from any problem that takes place in the next one year. Of course batteries from Apple are better in quality and last longer on a single charge but they are costly. They also have more charging cycles through their life, but if you have a low budget, you can look for non Apple batteries on e-Bay. There are various sellers selling batteries that will work fine with your MacBook though with lower efficiency than a genuine Apple battery. However, be careful that you pay lower than an Apple battery as there are many who are passing on non Apple batteries in the guise of Apple batteries.
