Difference Between Perfume and Body Spray

Perfume vs vs Body Spray

Perfume and Body Spray are two types of cosmetics that are used to convey one and the same object. Strictly speaking there is difference between the two. Body spray is a liquid that is often scented. In addition to scent it also contains water and alcohol.

The purpose of using body spray is to spray the scent all over the body. It is done to combat body odor. On the other hand the use of perfume is to add fragrance to the attire or costumes.

Perfume is used to add fragrance to the living place, a room or a cabin for that matter. On the other hand body spray is not used to add fragrance to the living room or a cabin. Body spray brings about freshness to the body whereas perfume brings about fragrance to the costumes or the place.

Body spray is lighter when compared to perfume. This is possibly because of the fact that the body has the direct contact with the scent in the case of body spray. On the other hand the body may not have direct contact with a perfume for that matter. Perfume may be rubbed on the hand kerchief or a cloth.

On the other hand body spray should not be rubbed on a hand kerchief or a cloth. It has to be directly sprayed over the body. One of the chief differences between perfume and body spray lies in the amount of extracts or aromatic oils used in their preparation. Body spray has the least amount of extracts and aromatic oils. On the other hand perfume has a high amount of aromatic oils and extracts.

Body spray has to be used within short periods since the concentration is not high of the elements used in the preparation. On the other hand a perfume lasts long due to heavy concentration of the elements used in its preparation.

You use the phrase, “On the other hand” far too often.
