Difference between reality and dreams characterize the two words reality and dreams. Reality is something that has been existent from the past till now. On the other hand, a dream is a kind of fantasy. When you consider the word dreams, dream is its singular form. If you look at the usage of reality and dreams, reality is used as a noun while dream is used as both a noun and a verb. Apart from this use, both reality and dreams are used in phrases too. For example, in reality, the reality is—, beyond one’s wildest dreams, in your dreams.

What do Dreams mean?

A dream is about non-existing facts too. The non-authenticity of dreams is often felt by us. A man who dreamt during sleep gets up in the morning saying that he dreamt of some non-authentic scenes in the dream. Moreover, a dream can portray a dead man or woman alive. You can even see a dead man or woman talking to you in your dreams. Hence, dreams are totally devoid of proof and validity. It is the power that holds the uncertainty and the invalidity of the experiences. Dream is often characterized by questionability and improbability. Whatever is felt in the dream is questionable later.

Reality is all about authenticity. Unlike dreams that are all about non-authenticity, reality has no place for non-authenticity. It is, in fact, ever existent in nature. Take, for example, the common experience of birth and death. It is nothing but reality. It happened, happens and will happen until there is life in this mortal world. Every living being born will have to die one day is the authentic reality. Reality, on the contrary, to dreams, is the basis of validity. You cannot disprove realities. Reality occurs only in slumber or deep sleep. You would feel your real nature and you would be one with the Absolute Bliss in slumber. Reality is not based on power. It exists forever even without your power. In addition, reality is characterized by non-questionability and distinctness.
