Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 vs OGT Tablet

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and OGT Tablet are both Android based tablets. OGT Tablet is a new introduction to tablet market. While all new tablets are boasting about dual core processors, the 7 inches OGT Tablet holds a single core 1GHz processor. It’s main attraction is the thinness, it’s the world’s thinnest tablet today at 7mm, pushing down Galaxy Tab 8.9, 10.1 and iPad 2 from that position. OGT is trying to score on the display too with 188ppi pixel density that will give much sharper image. OGT Tablet’s specs include 7inches 188ppi display, 550 g weight, 1 GHz proessor, Android OS, 5MP camera in the rear and a 3MP camera in the front and two options (16GB/32GB) for internal memory. OGT Tablet has Wi-Fi only and 3G configuration and 16GB, 32GB variations for each configuration.

Though Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 have lost their position as world’s thinnest tablets, they still are lighter (470g) and more powerful with dual core processor, 1GB DDR RAM and 8MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a 8.9 inches WXGA (1280×800) 170ppi TFT LCD display, Nvidia dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB DDR RAM, 8 megapixel rear and 2 MP front facing cameras and powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is incredibly lightweight at 470 grams. The device supports 3G and 4G-HSPA+21Mbps networks. Performance and Speed of Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 packed with Dual Core Tegra 2 processor and powered by Android tablet optimized operating system Honeycomb gives lightening fast web and multimedia experience. Low power DDR RAM and 6860mAh battery in Galaxy Tab enables perfect task management in energy efficient way.
