Samsung Infuse 4G vs iPhone 4
There was a time not so long ago when smartphone meant iPhone literally and indeed iPhone 4 was an embodiment of all things extraordinary. But the world has moved on to bigger things now as many electronic companies have surpassed many of the features boasted by iPhone 4. The latest smartphone from the stable of Samsung is the Infuse 4G. It is loaded with features and despite boasting of all big things, the gadget is surprisingly light and thin. Let us see how it fares in comparison to Apple’s baby, iPhone 4.
Samsung Infuse 4G
Though Infuse runs on Android platform and as such there can be no comparison with iPhone 4 that runs on Apple’s iOS 4, Infuse has features that have the capability to give iPhone 4 a run for its money. As told earlier, it has something big in store for the users. To start with, it has a huge 4.5 inch display on a super AMOLED Plus screen at WVGA resolution (800x480pixels), the same display used in Galaxy S II; the display is bright enough to be easily read under broad daylight and produces superb colors with great blacks. Infuse certainly is the thinnest 4G phone in the market today (8.99mm).
This amazing smartphone is powered by a super fast 1.2 GHz hummingbird processor and has 512 MB RAM. It runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and coupled with Samsung’s legendary TouchWiz UI, browsing the net or playing games provides a smooth and pleasing experience to the users. Infuse comes preloaded with Angry Birds with a special hidden level (Golden Egg) for those who are fond of the game. Those who finish the level can register and stand to win exclusive prizes from Samsung. The gadget is a dual camera device with a rear 8 MP camera with auto focus and LED flash capable of recording HD videos in 720p. It also has a front 1.3 MP camera allowing users to make video calls. There is the standard 3.5mm audio jack at the top and the smartphone has all the standard features like proximity sensor, accelerometer, and gyro sensor.
For connectivity there is Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, DLNA, and GPS with A-GPS. The browser supports HTML and flash and net surfing is a breeze on the phone. Additional gift for first 500000 buyers is $25 free download of content from Media Hub. It is a great feature that allows instant watching while the file downloads. One can expand internal memory up to 32 GB using micro SD cards.
Apple iPhone 4
For quite some time, iPhone remained a status symbol for the high flying executives. Though it still is a marvel of technology and designing, competition seems to have caught up. When it first arrived in May 2010, iPhone 4 mesmerized smartphone lovers with its sleek looks and a design that is unique with the front and the back made of treated glass and stainless steel edges. The dimensions of the phone, 115.2×58.6×9.3mm evoked oohs and aahs from the public, and for a long time iPhone 4 remained the slimmest smartphone of the world. It weighs just 137g, but since then many phones that are lighter have come up in the market.
The display of iPhone4 is what is most talked about, and it is a fact that Retina display employing LED-backlit IPS TFT produces a brightness that is still far ahead of the competition. Despite having a smaller 3.5 inch screen, it more than compensates with its brightness that produces a resolution of 960×640 pixels.
The smartphone runs on Apple’s iOS 4 and has a super fast 1GHz A4 processor. It has a RAM of 512 MB and is available in two models with 16GB and 32 GB internal storage that is fixed as it does not support micro SD cards. The phone is a dual camera device with the rear being 5MP, auto focus, LED flash, capable of recording HD videos in 720p while the front is a VGA camera for taking self portraits and for making video calls.
The phone has no FM radio and surprisingly there is no support for Adobe Flash 10.1 that is a bit disappointing for millions of lovers of iPhone4.

Adding the fact that the Samsung
Infuse 4G is ready to run on 4G networks, that should be enough to kill
iPhone 4 in the comparison since out of the box only runs on 3G
networks as far as I know. Will iPhone 5 run on 4G networks?
You should include network speed in the comparison because it does matter, 4G is supposed to be a
faster network and deployment appears to be in early 2012, why would someone engage in a 2 year contract in a 3G network able phone and be out of the 4G network party. Please clarify, for most users is difficult to
determine what’s best since phones such as iPhone 4G kind of suggests that it runs
on 4G networks when they really mean 4G as in generation within Apple. Pretty of shady advertising practices taking advantage of the complexity of computer jargon therefore manipulating the market, and that is not the path of true innovation, leadership and prosperity.

Perfect example of someone not knowing what they are talking about^^^ Apple doesn’t call the current iPhone, “iPhone 4G” they call it iPhone 4. It’s walmart shopper, soccer moms, and people like you that add the 4G because they let the tv rot their brain.

You want irony? The iPhone 4 supports network speeds that have been considered “4G” by AT&T, and that are available in more areas than Sprint Wimax. AT&T has boosted the speed even further too with HSPA+ being rolled out more broadly. Also, I would LOVE to remind the person putting together information, that having more megapixels does not make a camera “better”. “Better” is also a factor of how much light is captured… thus many reviewers have rated the quality of 5 megapixel photos taken by the iPhone 4 better than those of other 8 megapixel cameras of rivals.
The ONLY problem with lack of context and clarity… Isn’t that Apple isn’t portrayed in a good light. It’s that people continue to scratch their heads when purely rational, smart consumers choose the iPhone time and time again. You can call the iPhone 4 Apple’s “baby” and refer to iPhone users repeatedly as “lovers” and not simply consumers… You can discount the retina display as meaningless, or the fact that Android needs more processor speed and memory to do the same things iOS does with less, as pointless to mention. But, in the end… The facts will bear out.

Thank you for the information and the quick comparisson, but I hope that next time you write a review, you do so with less of a bias. I can understand why you feel that the Infuse is a better product, but it is better to show that based on facts rather than one-sided language.
Either way, you’ve helped me a little, but I’m hoping to find al less biased article somewhere else in cyberspace.
Thanks for your time!
