PS3 and PS3 Slim are the last two versions of Sony PlayStation. PlayStation is a gaming console from Sony that has revolutionized the way video games are played. Since its launch, there have been many versions of PS, and the last, PS3 was launched in 2006. It was loved by gamers around the world and sold millions of units. Faster processor, better memory
The processor used in slim was developed in collaboration between Sony, Toshiba and IBM. This cell processor is much faster than that used in its elder brother. Internal storage capacity has also been improved and there are versions of slim that have 120GB and 250GB storage capacity.

Drawbacks
Not having backward compatibility, it is disappointing for many gamers as they cannot play the games meant for PS2. PS3 is better in this regard as it is backward compatible. The absence of an infrared port is also irritating to many.
Though most of the gamers have lapped up the new PS3 slim, there are many who say that it is slower than PS3 when it comes to system booting and Loading of Blu-ray disc movies, but all agree that it is much faster when it comes to playing games. And this is what really matters.
