Though it is difficult to draw comparisons with a virtual newcomer in the tablet market with a tablet that has been ruling supreme and has virtually led a revolution in the tablet segment, it is tempting to see how Tabtech M009S fares when pitted against the super heavyweight among the tablets, the iconic iPad 2. Well, Tabtech M009S is being touted as an entry level tablet that runs on Android and the cheapest tablet in the market today. Does it have it to take on the leader of the pack? Let us find out.
This amazing 7 inch tablet running on Android Froyo 2.2 is being touted as the cheapest Android tablet in the market. It supports Adobe Flash 10.1 making browsing seamless and opens even heavily loaded sites in a jiffy. It has a good VIA 8650 300-800MHz processor and a 7” resistive LCD touch screen with a display at a resolution of 800×480 pixels that provides sharp pictures even under broad daylight. The tablet is equipped with a decent 0.3 MP camera that shots clear pictures and also allows for video chatting. It has a sound internal memory of 2GB (Nandflash) that can be expanded using micro SD cards up to 16 GB. The tablet has a sufficient 256 MB RAM that gives a decent performance.

It has 512 MB RAM and a large display of 9.7 inches with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. It runs on the latest iOS 4.3 that provides a pleasing experience when browsing.
When we try to compare Tabtech M009S with iPad2, it stands nowhere in comparison whether it is in internal memory or the cameras of the two devices. Even the processor of Tabtech is much slower in comparison to iPad2. The display of iPad2 is decisively better and larger than Tabtech. As far as hardware and internals are concerned, iPad2 is way ahead of Tabtech. However, for someone wanting to have a tablet at a price as low as below $100 with decent features, Tabtech M009S is a good choice.
