Standardbred

Standardbred is a racing horse breed, but these horses are especially famous for their ability in harness racing. In fact, this is the fastest harness racing horse breed in the world. They have a long and heavy body that is muscular with rock-hard legs, and powerful shoulders and hindquarters. Their straight and broad forehead and large nostrils are noticeable characteristics and those are important in identifying Standardbreds. In addition, their long tail would be important to notice. The average range of height at the withers is about 142 to 163 centimetres. They are available in dark brown and its related coat colours. One of the specialities of Standardbred is that they are people oriented horses; therefore, it has been easier to train them compared to other horse breeds. Usually, this friendly horse breed lives about 25 years.
