Its viscosity index can be given as 140, while the sulfated ash content is 1.1 wt%. The pour point is given as -30 degrees Celsius while the flash point is given as 220 degrees Celsius. What is CH4 Engine Oil?

CH4 engine oil is another high-performance diesel engine oil that can provide proven protection for diesel engines operating in severe conditions for both on and off-highway applications. The technology used in the oil’s performance makes it suitable for both modern diesel engines as well as older models.

The most important features of CH4 engine oils include thermal and oxidation stability, TBN reserve, stay-in-grade shear stability, excellent detergency/dispersancy, and component compatibility. There are some advantages and potential benefits of using CH4 engine oils: its ability to control sludge build-up and deposits, deposit controlling, reducing oil consumption and increase wear protection, maintain cleaner engines and longer engine life, and longer gasket and seal life as well.

The SAE grade of CH4 engine oil is 15W-40. The kinematic viscosity of this engine oil is 103.7 cSt at 40 degrees Celsius and 14.4 cSt at 100 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the viscosity index can be given as 142, while sulfated ash content is 1.3 w%. The pour point of this engine oil is -33 degrees Celsius, while the flash point is 234 degrees Celsius. The density can be given as 0.86 kf/l.
