What are Epileptic Seizures?

Epileptic seizures are caused due to sudden abnormal electrical discharges in the brain. This can be caused by changes in genes affecting how the brain works. The possible symptoms of this condition may include uncontrollable jerking and shaking (fit), losing awareness and staring blankly into space, becoming stiff, strange sensations such as a rising feeling in the stomach, and collapsing.
