What is Mycoderm?
Mycoderm is an antimicrobial medicine used for the treatment of bacterial and fungal skin infections. It is a combination of benzoic acid, salicylic acid, menthol, and starch. Benzoic acid prevents bacterial and fungal infections, while salicylic acid helps the body to shed rough, dead skin. Pityriasis is the flaking or scaling of the skin. Mycoderm C has active ingredients such as clotrimazole, starch, and talc. This medicine destroys the fungal infection by allowing the holes to open in the fungal cell membrane. This triggers components in the fungal cell to leak out, killing the fungus and curing the infection.
The common side effects are burning, itching, redness, stinging, dryness on the skin in the place this medicine is applied. Sensitive allergic reactions include rashes, itching, swelling and hypotension. Mycoderm C should be applied to the affected area of the skin 2 to 3 times daily and rubbed gently with a cotton swab. Moreover, mycoderm C is available in pharmacies in the form of powder, cream, or ointment.
