Apple iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy S II (S 2) are both smart gadgets from Apple and Samsung. The Major difference between Galaxy S II (Galaxy S2) and iPad 2 is Galaxy S II is a smartphone, users can make voice and video calls from Galaxy S II (S2) whereas in iPad 2 it’s not possible. Apple iPad 2 is powered with dual core A5 processor and Apple iOS 4.3 and Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) is powered by dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Samsung Galaxy S II (S2) is sized 4.27 inches and weighs 116 g and iPad 2 is sized 9.7 inches and weighs 613g. Galaxy S II (S2) may give better performance than iPad 2 since both equipped with dual core but Galaxy S II (S2) comes with 1 GB RAM whereas iPad comes with 512 Memory only. Anyhow both are awesome product from Apple and Samsung. Price wise also Galaxy SII (S2) is cheaper than iPad 2. Apple iPad 2
Apple iPad 2 is the second generation iPad fro Apple. Apple the pioneers in introducing the iPad have made further improvements to iPad 2 in design and performance. The additional features in iPad 2 are the dual cameras – rare camera with gyro and 720p video camcorder, front facing camera with FaceTime for video conferencing, a new software PhotoBooth, HDMI compatibility – you have to connect to HDTV via Apple digital AV adapter that comes separately. iPad 2 will have variants to support both 3G-UMTS network and 3G-CDMA network and will release the Wi-Fi only model also. iPad 2 is available in black and white colors and the price varies depending the model and storage capacity, it ranges from $499 to $829. Apple also introduces a new bendable magnatic case for iPad 2, named as Smart Cover, which you can purchase separately.
Galaxy S II (S2)
Galaxy S II (or Galaxy S2) is the thinnest phone to date, measuring only 8.49 mm. It’s faster and gives better viewing experience than its predecessor Galaxy S. Galaxy S II is packed with 4.3″ WVGA Super AMOLED plus touch screen, Exynos chipset with 1 GHz dual core Cortex A9 CPU and ARM Mali-400 MP GPU, 8 megapixels camera with LED flash, touch focus and 1080p@30fps HD video recording, 2 megapixels front facing camera for video calling, 1GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory expandable with microSD card, Bluetooth 3.0 support, Wi-Fi Direct 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI out, DLNA certified, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, mobile hotspot capability and runs Android’s latest OS Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Android 2.3 has added many features while improving on existing features in Android 2.2 version.
The super AMOLED plus display is highly responsive and has a better viewing angle than its predecessor. Samsung also introduces a new personalizable UX on Galaxy S2 which has a magazine style layout that selects the contents used most and displays on the homescreen. The live contents can be personalized. And the web browsing also improved to optimize Android 2.3 fully and you get a seamless browsing experience with Adobe Flash Player.
The additonal applications include Kies 2.0, Kies Air, AllShare, Voice Recognition & Voice Translation, NFC (Near Field Communication) and the native Social, Music and Games hub from Samsung. Game hub offers 12 social network games and 13 premium games including Gameloft’s Let Golf 2 and Real Football 2011.
