The new Blackberry Bold 9930 is all that a Blackberry has come to stand for, and a little more. It is a conscious effort to redraw the boundaries, so to speak!

RIM has a number of black berry phones in their stable of business phones, and Bold 9930 places itself alongside others with excellent productivity and security features. Its the CDMA version of Bold 9900. Bold 9930 measures 115x66x10.5mm and weighs 130g. It has a large 2.8 inch capacitive TFT touch screen that produces a resolution of 480×640 pixels. It has a full physical QWERTY keypad. Optical trackpad, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and touch sensitive controls. Bold 9930 runs on Blackberry 7.0 OS, has a powerful 1.2 GHz processor, and a solid 768 MB RAM. It provides 8 GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB using micro SD cards.

Bold 9930 is of course Wi-Fi802.11b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP with EDR, EDGE, GPRS, CDMA EvDO rev.A, GPS with A-GPS, and an HTML browser that allows seamless surfing.

Blackberry is a single camera device with a rear 5 MP camera that shoots pictures in 2592×1944 pixels. It is auto focus and has dual LED flash. It has features of geo tagging, face detection, and image stabilization. It can record HD videos in 720p.

Bold 9930 is packed with standard Li-ion battery (1230mAh) that provides decent talk time.

Motorola XPRT

If you thought that phones from Motorola were all about robustness and no stop entertainment, wait till you see the all new XPRT that has been designed to manage all your personal and professional requirements. It is loaded with features like enhance security and productivity that make it an ideal substitute for a Blackberry. So if you have been using a Blackberry for a long time, XPRT can be a welcome change that promises to look after all your professional needs.

To begin with, XPRT measures 120.4×60.9x13mm and weighs 145g. It has a candy bar form factor and boasts of a large 3.1 inch TFT capacitive touch screen along with a full physical QWERTY keypad for easy and instant emailing. The resolution of the screen is a bit disappointing though, it produces just 320×480 pixels only. It has all standard smartphone features like accelerometer, proximity sensor, touch sensitive controls, and multi touch input method.

XPRT runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, has 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor with PowerVr SCX530 GPU. It provides 2 GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB using micro SD cards (preloaded 2GB SD card included to the pack) . The phone is Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, EDGE and GPRS (class 12), CDMA EvDO rev.A, WCDMA (cat 9/10), GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, and an HTML browser with flash support. It’s a global phone with worldwide access.

XPRT has a single camera that is 5 MP with dual flash. It shoots pictures in 2592×1944 pixels and can also record videos. For entertainment, the smartphone has full integration with Google Talk, Youtube, and Gmail. XPRT is packed with standard Li-ion battery (1860mAh) that provides a talk time of up to 9 hours.
