Difference Between BlackBerry Dakota Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Bold 9780

BlackBerry Dakota vs BlackBerry Bold 9780 | Bold 9900 vs Bold 9780 Speed , Peformance and Features

Another BlackBerry to be launched from RIM. It is known as BlackBerry Dakota. The phone is going to be bit slim compared to other BlackBerry devices. It is going to be 10.5 mm thin candybar design with 2.8″ touchscreen/non-sliding QWERTY keyboard combination. Dakota will have 2.8-inch VGA capacitive touch screen with 5MP camera, 4GB internal storage, 768MB RAM and going to be powered by the very new BlackBerry OS 6.1, which is upgraded from OS 6. The additional features are the mobile hotspot, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n on 2.4 and 5GHz. Some refer this as BlackBerry Magnum as well.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 is the last edition in the Bold series devices, with the same candybar design and comes with 2.4″ TFT LCD screen, 5 MP camera, 2GB media card and 512 MB internal memory. Not much deviation from BlackBerry’s classic design. But the screen has a higher PPI compared to previous Bold, which gives crisper display of text and graphics.

With BlackBerry OS 6.1 we can expect full multitasking and like OS6.0 it to offer full HTML5 and Adobe Flash 10.1 support.
