City vs Country
Living in a metro and living in a country area is vastly different. It is akin to living in a rural area and urban area. If you have been living in a city, you might be surprised to see the laid back approach and lifestyle of the residents of countryside. Though there has been much advancement over the last few decades in the country area, it can never come even close to a metropolitan city. The differences are not limited to physical ones as there are eve differences in nature and psyche of the people in the two areas. Let us try to take a closer look.
City
In cities, residential areas are demarcated, and they are in general well planned to have industrial entities on the outskirts. Cities are overcrowded with people owing to opportunities they present to young and educated people. People from all over the nation come over to cities in search of employment and migration is a very common phenomenon. City residential dwellings are smaller but have a more modern outlook and appearance. There is cramping of space, and as such there are high rise buildings accommodating residential units called apartments and there are very few independent houses in cities. Lifestyle is stressful and very fast paced in a city. Because of a high number of vehicles, there is lot more pollution in a city than country side.
Cities have malls and other areas of shopping and entertainment that go with the busy lifestyle. Cities have gyms to take care of fitness needs of the people. Products and services in cities are expensive, making it costly to live in a city.
Country
Country life is still characterized by the slow pace and zero pollution that makes it ideal for life after retirement or for those who like to live in a pollution free environment. Yes, there may not be the kind of structures and facilities that are there in the city but then you have open spaces and fresh air to make you feel closer to nature. No high rise apartments and shopping malls are seen in the country side, but dwelling structures are large and spacious. Without industrial units, there is no pollution whatsoever. One drawback of living in the countryside is the lack of a kind of amenities and entertainment hubs that are there easily accessible to all in a city. People are already fit and even when they need to exercise, they need not lookout for gyms. They exercise in open parks and on the terraces of homes. As there are very few things to keep one self engaged, living cost is quite low in countryside.

What is the difference between City and Country? • If you are looking for peace and tranquility, country side may be better for you with laid back lifestyle and open spaces without the hustle and bustle of a city. • If you are young and ambitious and are looking for better opportunities, city may be a better place for you. • City may have more and better amenities but the countryside is free of pollution and closer to nature. • More jobs are found in cities because of proximity to industrial units. • Living cost is higher in the city than in the country side.
