Since both names, Hitler and Mussolini, are associated with violence, it is very useful to know the difference between Hitler and Mussolini. Among the billions and trillions of people who have ever walked this earth, some never passed on to the oblivion. They are never forgotten, sometimes due to the good they did to living beings, or at other times, due to the dire disaster they caused to fellow living beings. This article seeks to explore two such persons; Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. These two characters are world famous. A single utterance of their names would evoke thousands of memories combined with mostly negative emotions such as fear, terror, antipathy, etc., and negative connotations such as wars, discriminations, etc. To begin with, both Adolf Hitler and Bento Mussolini are dictators.
Who is Adolf Hitler?
Adolf Hitler, born on 20 April 1889, was the military leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party, also known as German Nazis. With his aggressive foreign policy, he was the one who initiated the World War II which caused thousands and thousands of deaths. He was the Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and then served as dictator from 1934 and 1945. He oversaw fascist policies which act precipitated Holocaust, destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war or a Jewish sacrificial offering which was burnt completely on an altar. During the time of World War I, Hitler was a veteran who after some time got imprisoned. After his release, Hitler extensively engaged in spreading Nazi ideology of Pan-Germanism, antisemitism, and anti-communism; propaganda of Nazis. During his first years of gaining power as Germany’s leader, he worked hard to fight economic recovery of the country. After a number of aggressive actions spreading throughout his span of power, he finally committed suicide with his wife Eva Braun in 1945 to avoid been captured by the Red Army.
Who is Benito Mussolini?
Benito Mussolini, full name Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini, was born on 29 July 1883 was originally a politician and a journalist in Italy. He was the leader of the National Fascist Party and was the youngest Prime Minister in Italy since 1922 to 1943. During his ruling, he ruled constitutionally until 1922 and then continued into dictatorship after which he was known as Il Duce (“the leader”). Mussolini was one of the key personas in the creation of fascism. By establishing the fascist movement, he along with his followers consolidated their power through a series of laws that converted the whole nation into a one-party dictatorship. During the time of World War II, Mussolini sided with Germany and he passed away in 1945.
What is the difference between Hitler and Mussolini?
• Both Hitler and Mussolini were dictators and Hitler lived in Germany while Mussolini lived in Italy.
• Hitler was also obsessed with wiping out Jews from Germany while Mussolini never shared that obsession.
• Hitler was a military leader too while Mussolini was not. He was a politician.
• Mussolini founded the fascist movement and legalized dictatorship.
• Hitler was more into Nazism while Mussolini was more into fascism.
Along with the above mentioned main differences, there were many other differences between Hitler and Mussolini in terms of their policies, actions and movements. However, they both faced similar deaths.
