It is a cool feature which will change the way Apple user have used the iPhone. The 3D touch feature is able to differentiate touch on the screen in different ways. This a simple change which apple users will have no trouble changing to. It supports the tap like on earlier models, but the real difference is, now the screen will know when the press is a bit harder and will open up a pop-up menu which includes a lot of features that are frequently used. It can be compared to a right click on a mouse.

Holding down on an app like Main will enable to see a quick preview of the message. Holding down the finger even further will enable to see more information of the message. This is great since we will have to tap and tap again to view the above otherwise.

Display

The screen is identical to the one used on iPhone 6. Although iPhone 6S comes with a low-resolution screen, this screen is vibrant and colorful, making a beautiful display.

Camera

The camera of the iPhone 6S comes with a 12MP snapper which was an upgrade that was expected. This will be an attractive feature for the customers as previous models did not support such a high resolution. Processor & RAM

As expected, the iPhone 6S comes with an A9 processor with upgrades included. The A9 is able to perform 70 percent faster and 90 percent faster on graphics compared to the A8 processor.The processor is able to perform faster, and this will be ideal for gaming. It has been constructed using 64-bit architecture which is able to perform faster and efficiently when opening and closing apps. The problem is that this architecture consumes much space leaving the iPhones 16GB storage capacity at a question mark. The RAM is expected to have an upgrade of 2GB, which is sufficient memory to run applications in a smooth fashion. It has not yet mentioned the RAM and the clock speed of the processor. Therefore, we will have to wait and see.

Battery

Apple failed to reveal any information on the battery as well. The new, efficient processor will be able to sustain the battery for a longer period, but it is a bit worrisome as the numbers are yet to be published.

Additional Features

The M9 motion co-processor has been built into the processor with stays on all the time. The Touch ID sensor also has seen an upgrade, and this is expected to perform faster and more accurate than the previous version

The Korean giant, Samsung Electronics just released the Galaxy S6 Edge plus and the Galaxy Note 5. The unveiling happened early to gain momentum before Apple gets a chance to release their masterpiece. There have been many improvements in the hardware as well as the software, to have a good chance of competing with its adversary. The Galaxy S6 Edge has been a great hit among Samsung consumers. Samsung opened up a separate production line to make 5 million edges a month due to the demand.  So the Galaxy S6 edge plus could turn out to be the same. We will just have to wait and see.

Design

The phone is elegant and finely crafted with the use of glass and metal. The metal bezel has been redesigned to be solid and stronger. The phone was made to ultimate detail. Silver Titanium has been added as another color to the existing collection. The Galaxy Edge plus can be used by one hand due to its compact size. However, due to the flat back and small grips on the edges it feels a bit uncomfortable in the hand. The screen has become bigger, but the phone has become smaller. The screen size is now 5.7 from 5.5 inches from its previous version. The width is 2.98 inches (75.8mm) smaller than the iPhone 6 Plus. The curved edges are impressive and give the phone a better look. It seems the design of the Galaxy S6 plus has been inspired by its rival, the iPhone.

The dimensions of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are going to be 154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9 mm. Its predecessor had dimensions of 142.1 x 70.1 x 7 mm. The phone has become smaller, but the display has become bigger which is a noteworthy feature. The weight of the smartphone is 153g.

As the name “Plus” suggests, the device comes with a 5.7 inch display from the 5.1 inch display of its predecessor, the Galaxy S6 Edge. Due to the larger display, the dual edges on the phone have been given more prominence. The technology behind the screen is the super AMOLED, which is known to be a great display. The internal storage of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is 64GB. A 32 GB version is also available. Expandable storage is not supported.

NFC is not available at every store which makes it difficult for the customers to transition. Samsung pay will be able to support NFC, Bankcard readers, and barcode readers as well which makes it more available. Samsung Knox protects Samsung pay from malware. During transaction, none of the personal or credit card information will be transferred making it safe and reliable. A onetime security code will only be used during a transaction.

It will be available in Korea in August 20th and available in the US from September 28th. Followed by UK, China, Spain and other countries in the near future. Its key feature is that it will be accepted anywhere.

Side sync

This feature allows files and screen sharing between PC and smartphone in a wireless and automatic manner. This feature is available with windows and mac as well.

Battery leadership

In addition to fast charging, power saving mode, and wireless charging device will be able to support fast wireless charging becoming the pioneer in this technology. With the use of fast wireless technology, an empty phone can be charged to full capacity in 120 min which has seen an improvement of 60 minutes or 30%. This is comparably faster than some wired charging abilities in some phones.  Samsung says this is the beginning of cord-free wireless charging where you can charge you phone in a coffee shop or anywhere wireless charging is supported. The battery is not removable which is a bit disappointing.

Product availability

Both devices are available in USA and Canada after August 21. US pre-orders started on August 11th.
