LG boasts about LG Optimus 3D as the first glasses free 3D phone. LG Optimus 3D supports HSPA+ and 4G Wimax network (US carrier is Sprint). Other features of LG Optimus 3D include high performance OMAP 4 chipset that has 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor with symmetric multiprocessing, dual 5 MP camera that can record videos in 3D, 3D UI, supports most of the 3D media files and can playback full HD 1080p content. If LG harp on 3D technology, Motorola has imbibed the device with webtop technology and fingerprint recognition for added security. Atrix 4G is also powered by 1 GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM and has 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording capability, It currently supports HSPA+ (US carrier is AT&T) and by Q2 2011 you can experience the 4G speed of LTE network. Atrix 4G has a 4 inches QHD display and has integrated Qik video chat application.

LG Optimus 3D

LG introduced the LG Optimus 3D as the first glasses free 3D phone. The key feature in LG Optimus 3D is the capability to record, share and view 3D content without 3D glasses. The 4.3″ WVGA 3D auto-stereoscopic display in LG Optimus 3D supports glasses free 3D viewing up to 720p and 2D multimedia content up to 1080p. The display uses the IPS technology. LG Optimus 3D does not stop with 3D display, it’s other features are also very impressive. It’s packed with amazing hardware, the OMAP 4430 chipset with 1GHz dual core processor, PowerVR SGX 540 for GPU, dual channel architecture and dual 512 MB main memory offers an enormous power to the phone while consuming low battery power. The other features include dual 5MP 3D Stereoscopic lens for 3D recording, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi Direct 802.11b/g/n, DLNA 1.5, DivX and XviD video codec, 8GB internal memory, FM Radio and integrated YouTube 3D to instantly upload your own 3D capture or download 3D content. LG also has introduced a new user experience with 3D UI that supports most of the 3D file formats and offers native camera application for 3D video capture. A 3D hot key is available for one touch switch to this 3D UI. Other than the 3D UI, the interface is same as the one on LG Optimus 2X.

LG has included few 3D games from Gameloft like N.O.V.A 3D to experience the 3D gaming with Optimus 3D.

Motorola Atrix 4G

The powerful Android smartphone from Motorola Atrix 4G is packed with excellent features and gives a benchmark performance. The unique feature of Atrix 4G is the webtop techology and the fingerprint scanner. Motorola introduced the Webtop technology with Atrix 4G that replaces a laptop. All you need to enjoy the power of mobile computing is the laptop dock and the software (which you have to purchase separately). The 11.5 inch laptop dock with full physical keyboard is built in with Mozilla firefox browser and adobe flash player that allows a fast, seemless browsing in a large screen. It will also mirror your phone content on the large screen. You can connect to internet with Wi-Fi or HSPA+ network that connects you at 21 Mbps speed. The phone is also 4G-LTE ready.

The fingerprint scanner combined with the power button at the top center back of the gadget gives an added security, you can enable the feature by going in to the set up and input your finger print with pin number.

The other features include 5 megapixel rare camera with dual LED flash and capapbility of HD video recording at 720p@30fps, front VGA camera (640×480 pixels) for video calling, internal memory of 16GB that can be expanded to 32GB using a memory card, HDMI port, microUSB port (HDMI cable and USB cable are included to the package). Video recording and play can increase to 1080p with OS upgrade to Android 2.3 or more. The battery life is very good compared to many other smartphones, it has a removable 1930 mAh Li-ion battery with a rated talk time of maximum 9 hours and up to 250 hours of standby time.

The device is availabe in the US market from March 2011 with AT&T. AT&T sells Motorola Atrix 4G phone for $200 (phone only) on a 2 years contract with laptop dock for $500 on two year contract. It’s available in Amazon Wireless for $700.
