Naruto is a fictitious character created by Japanese Manga artist Masashi Kishimoto. He appears in both the comic series called Naruto, as well as animated series based on this story telecast on television. There is also Naruto Shippuden that has become very popular these days. There are people who remain confused between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden as they cannot find differences between them. This article takes a closer look at the two comics to find out if there are indeed differences between Naruto and Naruto Shippuden.
Naruto
Naruto is the name of the young teenage male character that is a ninja and aspires to be the most popular one in his entire village. His character has been created by Masashi Kishimoto. The first of the comics of this manga series appeared in the markets, in Japan in 1999 and soon it became very popular, not just among teenagers and youth, but also among adults. The series caught the imagination of people even in the west and in 2005 the animated series based upon Naruto was telecast on Cartoon Network. Naruto is an ongoing comic and cartoon series that can be seen on the shelves in comic stores, in many countries across the world, and on TV channels in many parts of the world.
The comic has a setting in the times when the world was divided into ninja villages. The main character of this manga is Naruto who is a brave teenage boy but dreams to become the most popular ninja of his village. This is difficult as a demon was placed inside the body of Naruto when he was a small boy. However, Naruto tries hard to win the respect of the elders in his village. Villagers fear the demon inside him and have ostracized this 12 year old cheerful boy.
Naruto Shippuden
Naruto Shippuden, translated as Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles, is the name of the anime series that is being telecast on television and carries forward the story of the original Naruto cartoon series. It was in February 2007 that Shippuden made its debut on TV Tokyo. The series is directed by Hayato Date and made by Studio Pierrot. The series is being aired on Disney XD since October 2009 after having been dubbed in English.
