Pokemon Black and Pokemon White are the two versions in the fifth installment of the Pokemon series of game made by Nintendo. Pokemon games are one of the most popular and longest running games manufactured by hand held gaming consoles maker Nintendo. Nintendo always release them in pairs such as Pokemon Green and Red, Pokemon Silver and Gold, and the latest in the series are Pokemon Black and White. Nintendo make sure they keep the content unique in each half of the pair, and in black and white also, they have maintained the tradition. In fact, more than ever, there is much difference between Pokemon Black and White to lure the gamers to purchase both the versions. Just what are these differences and how is one superior to another?
In every version, there is a unique Pokemon that is there in each half, and Black and White are no different with unique Pokemon in both of them to be caught by the player. Another difference lies in the play area. Pokemon White has white forest, while Pokemon Black has black city. While it is legendary Pokemon Zekrom in White, Reshiram is the Pokemon that stars in Black. Pokemon Black and White released in Japan in September 2010, and within 5 months it sold 5 million copies which is a proof of the popularity of the game.
While both Pokemon Black and White carry forward with the same story content, there are some changes which are visible as the gamer starts to play the game. The game revolves around a Pokemon trainer who wants to be a champion of the Unova region. To be a champion, the trainer needs to beat top 4 trainers. In both Black and White, 156 Pokemon have been added taking the total number to 649. You need to capture all these Pokemon to be a champion in the game. Though Black and White are different versions, it is possible to trade off Pokemon in between Black and White.
The tasks in the two versions are also different and the tasks that a gamer gets in Black are not there in White. Reshiram is a huge white Pokemon who looks like a dragon. He can do a Cross flame and has the skill called Turboblaze. Reshiram has blue eyes and has rings around his neck. On the other hand, Zekrom, the legendary Pokemon in White, looks similar to Reshiram but has red eyes and dark grey skin. It has a generator like tail. It knows the skill called Teravolt and can do Cross Thunder. The white forst that is exclusive to Pokemon white has 32 Pokemon in the forests that are not seen in Black.
