Scotland is widely known as the home of the sport of golf and it has some of the most beautiful and most famous golf courses in the world. It is also known as a great place to enjoy many outdoor activities. As a result, the best time to visit Scotland would be during its warmest months in July and August. Two of the most popular tourist attractions in Scotland are the Edinburgh Castle and The Falkirk Wheel. The languages spoken in Scotland are Scots, Scottish Gaelic and Standard Scottish English. Majority of Scotland’s population is Christian. Scottish people are hard working people that take pride in their working class heritage. They are also loyal and patriotic and are renowned for being socially friendly. Scotland’s most famous traditional dish is haggis, which is a kind of sausage, and they are of course recognized for their Scotch whiskey.

England

England’s climate varies and can be unpredictable but usually its summers are warm, around 24° C, and its winters are cold, sometimes but rarely dropping below 0° C. England has a wide range of activities to do and many great places one can visit such as the Tower of London, Canterbury Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, Wiltshire, just to name a small few. The people of England traditionally speak English, naturally, and the majority of the people are Christians. English people are also known as generally polite people that love to talk about their local football (soccer) team and tell a joke or two using their patent sarcastic humor. English food is simple and it relies on high quality natural produce, and no English meal is complete without a “spot” of tea.

Difference between Scotland and England

Scotland and England offer many of the same activities. It would solely be a case of personal preference whether someone would want to visit one over the other. Scotland would be the right place to enjoy the outdoors and the exquisite journeys to the tourist attraction sites while England should be the destination if the traveler is more interested in city type activities and architectural wonders. Generally, the cost of goods and services are cheaper in Scotland than in England, which makes Scotland the suitable destination for travelers that want to save a lot of money and still enjoy the trip.

Although the tourists’ main purpose of taking trips to foreign countries is to enjoy and relax, it is significant that the tourists learn important things about the places they go to and the culture of the people that live there.
