Todoist is an app that is rich with many features. You can easily add and manage tasks without much fluff. You can find extra features when you need them. It also comes in free and premium options and works across operating systems.

Drawbacks of Todoist

You will need the premium version to get the most out of Todoist. It is only with the premium version that you will be able to use context, attachments, and labels. The free version will come with a big red banner asking you upgrade. Configurations also are weak. You cannot do any changes to the user interface or customize it. You cannot manually add data or sort your list. Todoist does not also consider user feedback.

What is Wunderlist?

Wunderlist, owned by Microsoft, is a to-do list that can work across platforms and help you in organizing projects and smaller tasks. It can work in the browser of mobile apps on most operating systems. It can also be made attractive as the background can be configured to make it look good and interactive. It comes with many tricks and tools to help organize your life in a simple and easy way.

Wunderlist is able to neatly interface with apps like slack, Sunrise, Dropbox, Calendar, and 500 other applications. This enables the app to have a huge range of features. It is free and simple to use. It also comes with premium options. It does not have ads and is streamlined with the many features it comes with.

Drawbacks of Wunderlist

Managing tasks can be a bit difficult in this app. Adding subtasks will take you to a different user interface. It means you will need to do a bit more work than you should when managing these tasks. Although it syncs across operating systems, it has hits and misses. The free version can only support attachments up to 5MB and is limited to 25 tasks. It is also unable to work with IFTTT.

Wunderlist is better if you require customizations. It does not come with big nag ads. You can add data to tasks, and the ability to use it with Slack and Dropbox is also great. Although it does not work with IFTTT, it is the better app out of all other to-do list applications.

Todoist is also a good app, but most of its options are not available in the free version. It does not listen to user feedback, which is not great from a company point of view. Both the apps will get the job done, and both will make you more productive. They can also work with hundreds of other apps.
