Samsung Galaxy Indulge and Samsung Craft are both 4G LTE phones. Both are full QWERTY slide out phones. Samsung Galaxy Indulge is a Q1 2011 release and Samsung Craft was released in Q4 2010. Samsung Galaxy Indulge is the first Android device specifically designed for US Prepaid carrier Metro PCS’s 4G network. Samsung Galaxy Indulge runs the most widely used Android 2.2. Samsung Craft is an entry level smartphone. Both devices are served in US by Metro PCS 4G LTE networks.
Samsung Galaxy Indulge (Model SCH-R910)
The black color Galaxy Indulge sports a 3.5” HVGA TFT 262K colour display, slide out full QWERTY keyboard and 3.0 megapixel camera with 720p Video Recording. With the processor speed of 1GHz it provides a good multimedia experience at 4G speed (10 times faster than 3G). The other features include Wi-Fi, DLNA Connectivity and Bluetooth capability. The messaging functions include Email, SMS,EMS/MMS, IM and voice mail.
The dimension is 5.2” x 2.4” x 0.6” and weighs 5.35 oz
One of the interesting features of Galaxy Indulge is the large 32GB on board memory but the disappointing feature is the low battery capacity, it stands only for 3 continuous hours of talking and 300 hrs stand-by time.
Samsung Craft (Model SCH-R900)
Samsung Craft is the first ever 4G LTE mobile phone to work on Metro PCS ‘s 4G network. It can be called an entry level smartphone, it lacks in many smartphone features. The device is packed with 3.3″ AMOLED touch screen display with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera/camcorder with flash and built-in video editor, 165MB on board memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, Bluetooth, A-GPS and speakerphone. The messaging functions include Email, SMS,EMS,MMS, IM and voice mail.
The Craft comes with pre loaded applications such as MetroNavigator, Loopt, Shozu, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube and other sharing sites. The microSD™ card slot supports up to 32GB of memory,
The dimension is 4.5″ x 2.2″ x .47″ and weighs 3.74 ounces oz. It has two color options, bronze and gold.
The battery is rated 200 hours standby time and 6 hours talk time, but the tested time seems to be far lower than rated, it’s only 3 hrs 15min.
