Canon 750D and 760D are two new entry-level DSLRs released during early 2015 by Canon. Both the cameras in the EOS range, the Canon 750D and 760D, are capable of producing great images with detail. Both cameras sit at the top of the beginners range. However, there exist certain differences between these two entry-level DSLRs. Both cameras target different audiences though, they both are identical in most of their features. The key difference between Canon 750D and 760D is that Canon 750D is designed for the novice while the 760D is designed for more experienced users.

Canon 750D Review – Specification and Features
Sensor and Image Quality
The Canon 750D houses a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor that is powered by a DIGIC 6 processor. The size of the processor is 22.3 x 14.9 mm. The maximum resolution that can be shot is 6000 x 4000 pixels, which provides great detailed images and larger print sizes. The supported aspect ratio is 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, and 16:9.
The ISO sensitivity range of this camera is 100 – 12800. There is a feature to expand the ISO to 25600, which can be used for very low light situations. The images can be saved in a high-quality RAW format, so that, it can be post-processed according to the needed format.
Auto Focus System
The Canon 750D also includes a 19-point phase AF system. When the viewfinder is being used, the AF system creates the images in it. The camera is capable of choosing the AF system by itself from the 19 points, or it can be manually set using the single point or Zone AF modes. Zone AF has 5 groups of points to choose from and the single point lets us chose from all 19 points individually.
In Canon 750D, when live view feature is used, the images are viewed on the screen. Also, the Canon 750D has a new Hybrid CMOS AF III system that comes with face detection, Tracking AF, and flexi zone modes). Continuous AF is also available for video and also to pre-focus on images.
Lens
The Canon 750D supports a Canon EF/EF-S lens mount. There are about 250 lenses that are capable of supporting this mount. The Canon 750D is not able to provide image stabilization, but there are about 83 lenses that come with this feature. Also, though the Canon 750D does not come with weather sealing, there are 45 lenses that come with weather sealing.
Shooting Features
The Canon 750D can shoot at a continuous rate of 5 frames per second. This rate is good enough for sports photography.
Screen and Viewfinder
The screen of this camera is a Clear View II TFT with a size of three inches and a resolution of 1040 dots. It is also touch sensitive. The screen is capable of supporting and aspect ratio of 3:2. The viewfinder is an optical viewfinder which uses a penta mirror design. This is less expensive than the penta prism design cameras found in professional DSLRs. However, the tradeoff is the image quality. The penta prism gives a more realistic image of the shot than the penta mirror.
With the Canon 750D, 95% of the image that is going to be captured can be seen through the viewfinder. The screen with its articulating joint can be viewed in a variety of angles. Further, the bright light on the screen does cause reflections; therefore, the images can be viewed. In the live view, the screen can be used to trip the shutter as well as set the AF points. The vari-angle screen allows the user to see key settings from different angles. Setting can be done using the buttons available on the camera or with the use of the touch screen.
File Storage and Transfer
There is one storage slot that can be supported by this camera. The Supported storage card formats are SD, SDHC, and SDXC.
The Canon 750 comes with Wi-Fi and NFC, which enable the camera to connect with devices like smartphones. It also has a feature with the use of NFC to transfer images from one camera to another by just touching the NFC logos. Connecting the camera with NFC-enabled devices is easy. Connecting non-NFC phones is also easy as we only need to enter one-time password. This will enable features like shutter, aperture, and sensitivity control remotely via the phone itself. Also, there is a light to indicate when Wi-Fi is active.
Special Features
The Wi-Fi is indicated via an indicator on top of the camera. This camera is also capable of supporting an external mic jack to support high-quality audio recording. It is also able to support many lenses.
Dimensions and Weight
This camera is not solid as many of the other professional DSLRs are. However, it is durable with the use of fiberglass, polycarbonate, and aluminum alloy on the body. Also, for a solid grip, there are textured areas on the camera. The camera feels safe and comfortable in the hands.

The Canon 760D comprises of a 24 megapixel APS-C sensor that is power by a Digic 6 processor. The increased megapixels, generally, gives more details, but could also increase the level of noise. However, the Canon 760D does a great job in this area as this issue is resolved in this build.
The ISO value ranges from 100-12800 and can be expanded up to 25600. The camera is capable of setting the sensitivity from 100-6400. The movie ISO range is 100- 6400 and can be expanded up to 12800.

The Canon 760D also has the Hybrid CMOS AF III autofocus system which is used for contrast and phase autofocus when using the live-view option on the camera. The live view and video mode both have servo autofocus capabilities. The continuous autofocus is used to pre-focus the images and also with video mode. It also includes a 19-point phase AF system. The duration of the recording is calculated at 29 minutes and 59 seconds and, when this time limit is exceeded or 4GB is exceeded, a new file is created.
The Canon 760D also has a secondary LCD screen on top of the camera. This shows useful information like exposure level and battery level. This is useful as it consumes less power than the main screen.
Screen and Viewfinder
The screen of 760D is very responsive. The quick and main menus can be controlled by a touch. The pinch zoom can be used to check the sharpness of the image. The viewfinder has a sensor to detect when the camera is close to the eye. This sensor then automatically turns off the display.
The Canon 760D screen is very clear unless it is exposed to very bright conditions. The screen can be used in various angles for creative shooting. Touch shutter feature can be used to focus and release the shutter with a tap on the screen. The viewfinder is also equipped to display the electronic level.
File Storage and Transfer
There is only one slot for storage in this camera. Like some high-end cameras that are able to offer a backup storage for extra space, this camera too is able to support SD, SDHC, SDXC format memory cards.
Wi-Fi and NFC can be used to connect the camera to other devices. This can be done in order to transfer images and also control the camera remotely from a smartphone.
Special Features
The Canon 760D camera has an external microphone port for better audio recordings but does not contain a port for headphones.
Another special feature of the camera is the electronic level, which indicates whether the horizon is tilted or not. Also, Wi-Fi active mode can be viewed on top LCD plate. Also, the camera can be remotely controlled with a smartphone via Wi-Fi. Many important camera features can also be controlled remotely.
Dimensions and Weight
The Canon 760D too has a comfortable grip, and can be easily carried for long periods of time, even when the lenses are mounted. But, for an SLR, the Canon 760D is small.

1. The Canon 760D has an electronic level, which is capable of indicating whether the horizon is level or not.
2. The secondary monochrome LCD is another feature that is present in the Canon 760D when comparing both cameras. This shows many useful information that are needed to create a quality image. This uses less power so the battery life can be expanded when the need arises.

Canon 750D vs. Canon 760D Pros and Cons
Both the cameras are comfortable in hand and user-friendly too. Settings are a tap away and have been designed in an easy to use way. We also can zoom into an image and check its sharpness. The vari- angle screen enables for creative shooting and we can also view the screen at various angles. Another great feature is to set the AF points and the shutter trip from the screen itself. The down side of the Canon 750D is that the optical viewfinder shows the same image even when some of the settings have been changed like exposure. The Canon 750D does not come with an electronic level to determine whether the horizon is straight or not. Also, the viewfinder only shows 95% of the captured screen which could add unwanted backgrounds to the edges.
The Canon 760D has a secondary LCD and a quick control dial. The Electronic level is also a great feature, so we know that the horizon is straight. The touch control with a combination of buttons gives great control over the camera. The down side of this camera is the continuous shooting rate of 5 frames per second, and the 95% coverage could end up with unwanted backgrounds. As a conclusion this is a great camera for inexperienced photographers, the touch control combined with buttons gives great control. The image quality is also great composed of detail and attractive colors.
