HTC Droid Incredible 2 and Incredible S are two new phones from htc that is known for innovative designs. HTC incredible S is HTC’s flagship device introduced at the MWC in February 2011 and HTC Droid Incredible 2 is also based on the same design. HTC Droid Incredible 2 is the US version of HTC Incredible S, which is for global market. HTC Droid Incredible 2 will join the Verizon’s red eye Droid series with Samsung Droid Charge. Verizon is using the red eye logo to differentiate them from Motorola Droid series. Both the phones run Android 2.2 (Froyo) initially with the promised upgrade to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). HTC Sense run on top of Android, that offers seven homescreens. The major difference between HTC Droid Incredible 2 and Incredible S is the network compatibility, HTC Droid Incredible 2 is for US market and run on Verizon’s CDMA network, while HTC Incredible S is for global market and it is a GSM phone, compatible with UMTS/WCDMA network.

HTC Droid Incredible 2

HTC Droid Incredible 2 is to feature 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (the same processor used in HTC ThunderBolt), 4 inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) super LCD display, 768MB RAM, 8MP rear camera with dual Xenon flash that can capture HD video at 720p. It’s a world phone with the capability to roam globally, so you can carry this phone when you go outside US.

HTC Droid Incredible 2 is another addition to Verizon’s Droid series and HTC Droid Incredible 2 release is marked for late April 2011 with a price tag of $ 199 for 2 year new contract .

HTC Incredible S

HTC Incredible S is loaded with 1GHz processor, 768MB RAM and sports a 4 inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) super LCD screen. The super LCD display is very clear and produce vivid colors, much better than the display of the previous Incredible. There is a slight change in design too, the headphone jack is placed on the top left and the power button on top right. There is no physical button in the front. The on screen button rotates when you change to lanscape. The backside is slightly raised and holds a 8MP camera, dual flash and the speaker. In the front a 1.3 MP VGA camera is available for video calling. The camera can capture up to 720p HD videos. It’s capable of creating a virtual surround sound environment via SRS WOW HD and support Bluetooth A2DP for wireless stereo heasets.

For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1 with FTP/OPP for file transfer and a microUSB port available on the left side edge.

The other features include DLNA, GPS with preloaded maps and unified inbox for all email accounts.

The dimension of the handset goes in line with market average at 120 x 64 x 11.7 mm with a weight of 135.5 grams.
