HTC EVO 3D and Galaxy S2 (Galaxy S II) are two excellent high end phones with benchmark features. Both Q2 2011 releases belong to the dual core generation. HTC Evo 3D uses 1.2 GHz Qualcomm MSM8660 dual core processor and 4.3″ qHD (960 x 540 pixels) super LCD display with stereoscopic technolgy for 3D viewing. The display supports 1080p (2D viewing) and 720p (3D viewing). HTC Evo 3D is the first glasses free 3D phone from HTC. It also has integrated YouTube 3D and Blockbuster 3D. HTC Evo 3D has dual 5 MP stereoscopic lens for 3D video capture. It’s powered by Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) with the improved HTC Sense 3.0 for UI. The new HTC Sense has some interesting features like instant capture camera, active lockscreen and offers immersive experience. Samsung Galaxy S2 is powered by Exynos SoC that contains 1.2 GHz dual core ARMv7 processor and Mali-400MP GPU. Samsung Galaxy S2 display is a huge 4.3 inches WVGA (800×480 pixels) and utilize super AMOLED plus technology which consume less battery power and the display is very bright with vibrant colors, one of the best. Though the resolution is less than the qHD, the display is amazingly beautiful and have wider viewing angle. The camera in Galaxy S2 is a powerful 8MP with 1080p HD video recordeing capability. Galaxy S2 is extremely thin and light measuring only 8.49mm and 116grams. Samsung Galaxy S2 runs Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) with the new personalized UI TouchWiz 4.0 that has magazine style live panels to directly access the content instead of application widgets.
