Inner vs outer London
Inner and outer London counties are what constitute the Greater London. London is comprised of various counties, boroughs and their sub districts. And, the placement of these counties has lent them the value as inner London counties and outer London counties. Inner counties are those which somehow form the inner portion of the greater London as opposed to the outer counties which are surrounding these inner ones.
Inner London counties are known as the formation of those boroughs which constitute the inner portion of the greater London. This division was pronounced back in 1965. And, since then, there has been made a distinction regarding the selection of certain London boroughs as the inner London counties. But for the census or national statistics’ sake, this division also gets affected and due to this, different inner counties get to be included and excluded. Inner London is the area which is known for its highly lavish living styles as it includes those streets of the entire Europe which are known to be most expensive and the richest ones. The area covered by inner London counties is quite larger as it covers around 624 km2 (241 sq. miles). The population of thee boroughs according to the census conducted in 2009 is 3,061,000.Though, it should be kept in mind that the inner London counties should not be submerged with the central London area. There is a difference in both of these. Outer London counties are those boroughs which are surrounding the inner London area. These have surrounded the inner London boroughs in the form of a ring. These areas were not the part of the county of the London and in 1965; these got to be announced officially as the outer boroughs/counties of the greater London. These counties are what have been announced as the outer London counties by the London government act of 1965. But according to the national statistic department, there are certain counties which get to be included or excluded from this very list. According to the census conducted in 2009, the population of the outer London counties was 4,692,200.
Inner and outer London counties are both what constitute the Greater London where outer London boroughs are those which are surrounding the inner London boroughs. Inner London area is said to be the richest area of the Europe where as the outer London tends to have more population than the inner London area. Till, 2000, there used to be different dialing codes for the inner and outer London counties. Both inner and outer London counties are known for their specific living styles and other diversifications which make these to stand out in a different manner from each other. This is the charm of the Greater London where every type of living styles, different norms and customs can be noticed. Ranging from the high riches to rags of poverty, there are all the colors of life. Though the most significant difference remains the fact that the inner London counties are more of a London’s metropolitan as compared to the outer ones.
