Samsung Galaxy S2 (or Galaxy S II) is only next to iPhone 4 in creating a hype in the mobile market since its unveiling in February 2011. Motorola Atrix sports a 4″ QHD (960×540 pixels) PenTile display with , 1GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 5MP camera at the rear, 1.3 MP front facing camera, video recording in 720p and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Motoblur for UI.

Samsung Galaxy SII (Galaxy S2)

Galaxy S2 is the Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone announced at the World Mobile Congress in February 2011. It’s the world’s thinnest phone today measuring only 8.49mm. Design – Galaxy S II is larger than Atrix but very much thinner and both have plastic bodies with textures rear cover. Atrix has tapered edges with corned curved. Galaxy S II also has slight curve on the edges and the sides too slightly curved.

Display Size – Galaxy S II display (4.3″) is larger than that of Atrix (4″)

Display Type – Atrix display has denser pixels and the text are crisper than Galaxy S II but the colour is more vivid and extremely bright in Galaxy with higher contrast ratio and has better viewing angle too.

Processor – Galaxy S II has 1.2GHz Exynox chipset while Atrix has 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset. Both have dual core CPUs, but the CPU clock speed is faster in Galaxy. However Nvidia offers a better graphic performance.

OS – Galaxy S2 uses the latest Android version (2.3.3 Gingerbread) while its the previous version (Android 2.2 Froyo) in Atrix

UI – Both use their own interface skins without loosing much of the Android feel. Galaxy S II uses the very new TouchWiz 4.0 which is more catchy and has more advanced features than Motoblur in Atrix.
