Samsung Galaxy S2 (or Galaxy S II) is only next to iPhone 4 in creating a hype in the mobile market since its unveiling in February 2011. If there is any device that was much talked about in the media it is Galaxy S 2. Though Motorola Atrix was silently released to global market, it also created excitement when its US version Atrix 4G was introduced in January 2011. It was the first dual core phone for AT&T. The global version also carries the same specs as Atrix 4G sans the 4G in the name. Though both are dual core Android phones, they are different in many aspects. Galaxy S2 is a dual core phone with 1.2 GHz CPU and quad core GPU, 4.3 inches WVGA (800×480 pixels) super AMOLED plus display, 8MP camera with dual flash at the rear and 2MP at the front, HD video recording at 1080p and runs Anndroid 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) with the new TouchWiz 4.0. Motorola Atrix sports a 4″ QHD (960×540 pixels) PenTile display with , 1GHz dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 5MP camera at the rear, 1.3 MP front facing camera, video recording in 720p and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Motoblur for UI.

Galaxy S2 is the Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone announced at the World Mobile Congress in February 2011. It’s the world’s thinnest phone today measuring only 8.49mm. The super AMOLED plus display is highly responsive and has a better viewing angle than its predecessor. With TouchWiz 4.0 Samsung introduces a new personalized UX on Galaxy S2 which has a magazine style layout that selects the contents used mostly by the user and displays them on the homescreen. The live contents can be personalized. The web browsing is also improved to optimize Android 2.3 fully and users get a seamless browsing experience with Adobe Flash Player.

The additonal applications include Kies 2.0, Kies Air, AllShare, Voice Recognition & Voice Translation, NFC (Near Field Communication) and the native Social, Music and Games hub from Samsung. Game hub offers 12 social network games and 13 premium games including Gameloft’s Let Golf 2 and Real Football 2011.

The 11.5 inch laptop dock with full physical keyboard is built in with Mozila firefox browser and adobe flash player that allows a fast, seemless browsing in a large screen. The fingerprint scanner combined with the power button at the top center back of the gadget gives an added security, you can enable the feature by going in to the set up and input your finger print with pin number.

The other features include 5 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and capapbility of HD video recording at 720p@30fps, front VGA camera (640×480 pixels) for video calling, internal memory of 16GB that can be expanded to 32GB using a memory card, HDMI port, microUSB port (HDMI cable and USB cable are included to the package).
