Galaxy S and Apple iPhone 4 are two competitors in the smartphone market. Apple’s iPhone needs no introduction and the fourth generation iPhone in the series is called iPhone4. It carries forward the legacy of earlier editions at the same time boasting of new features such as a brighter display called RETINA, faster processor and a loner battery life making it a darling of iPhone lovers all over the world.

Of late however, smartphones are giving stiff competition to iPhones and the latest Android smartphone from Samsung called Galaxy S is currently the toast of the town with its superb features such as 4” super AMOLED screen, 1GHz processor, Bluetooth 3.0 support and internal memory of 8GB or 16GB.

One drawback of Samsung Galaxy S is its plastic body that looks cheap in comparison to steel frame of iPhone4. iPhone 4 also takes the cake when it comes to slimmer body as it is only 9.3mm in thickness. However, Galaxy S seems to win when it comes to multimedia as it supports DivX and Xvid files while iPhone 4 depends upon its integration to iTunes for such features. Galaxy S not having an LED flash is a bit surprising, and iPhone wins hands down with a far superior camera with flash.

Where Galaxy S scores over iPhone 4 is its display with 4″ Super AMOLED screen and its battery,  iPhone 4 battery is non removable. The much lower price of Galaxy S is also an important factor in people preferring it over iPhone 4.

In conclusion, it can be safely said that both Samsung Galaxy S and iPhone 4 are incredible smartphones for people who wish to have full control of their digital world wherever they go. iPhone 4 is more trendy and sure to get you admiration but Samsung Galaxy is not far behind and is sure giving iPhone a run for its money.
